Cafe Zoe is one of the newest eating places in town…I had heard fairly positive reviews about the place, but I was mostly disappointed. The food was just about average, especially when you compare it to Smoke House Deli (which is easily one of my most favourite places to eat in Bombay!). But I did love the exposed brick wall.
Now, Cafe Zoe is actually in a restored textile mill – I love the fact that the owners decided to marry the old and the new while doing up the place. In fact, in the Lower Parel / Worli area, there are a few “new” places which have in some ways retained aspects of the erstwhile cotton textile mills – Shiro and Hard Rock Cafe are prime examples of that. I love Shiro on the quiet weeknights and HRC is awesome every time!
